Applying for ACQ Accreditation

Step #1

Download and review the ABA Accreditation Program Standards and Guide

Request a free copy of ACQ’s Applied Behavior Analysis Accreditation Program Standards and Guide. The Standards and Guide provide an overview of ACQ’s accreditation requirements and are designed to help organizations understand the expectations for accreditation.

Step #2

Self-evaluate Your Organization in the context of the ABA Accreditation Program Standards

Request a free copy of ACQ’s Self-Assessment Tool to evaluate your organization’s readiness for accreditation, identify opportunities for improvement, and confidently plan your next steps.

Step #3

Schedule a meeting with an ACQ representative

Meet with an ACQ representative to discuss your organization’s goals, accreditation timelines, and the accreditation process. We’ll answer your questions, explain what to expect, and help you determine the next steps for your organization.

Step #4

Register Your Organization and Complete the Organization Overview Form

Using the registration code provided by your ACQ representative, create an account in the secure ACQ Portal and complete the Organization Overview Form. Once your information has been reviewed, ACQ will provide your accreditation fee quote along with the next steps to begin the accreditation process.

Step #5

Review and Sign the Accreditation Agreement and Submit Payment

Review and electronically sign the Accreditation Agreement and Business Associate Agreement (BAA) in the secure ACQ Portal. Once the agreements have been signed, submit payment through the portal to officially begin the accreditation process.

Step #6

Begin the Accreditation Process

Within one business day of receiving your completed agreement and payment, an ACQ Client Services representative will contact you to schedule your orientation meeting. From there, you’ll work through each phase of accreditation, including the desktop review, employee and patient surveys, clinical observations, and leadership interviews.
